The banned terror outfit United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) has kidnapped Assam BJP leader Ratnaswer Moran’s son and has demanded RS. 1 crore ransom.
According to police, Moran’s son Kuldeep was abducted on from Arunachal Pradesh on August 1.However, it came to light today when a video released by the outfit surfaced on the internet. It is reported that the video showed Kuldeep Moran, in a green T-shirt, kneeling down and surrounded by five masked men armed with assault rifles.
Further, in the video, Kuldip Moran appealing to his family, BJP legislator Bolin Chetia and Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal to secure his release by paying the outlawed outfit.
Meanwhile, the Assam police have been conducting a search operation to bring the 27-year-old youth back home.
The BJP came to power in Assam earlier this year after winning the state election.
