Usually these music festivals happen outdoors and extend to over more than a couple of days at least. Rock am Ring and Rock im Park are festivals that are held on the same day in two different locations in Germany. The simultaneity of the two music festivals is such that they are regarded as only one festival and the name Rock am Ring is the more popular and more commonly used for both festivals.
