Around 107 tunnels were built on Kalka-Shimla railway out of which Tunnel No. 103 is famous for its eerie history. Legend has it that a certain Colonel Barog, the engineer of that tunnel, had committed suicide at the site when he was fined a rupee after his efforts to align both ends of the tunnel failed. His apparition has been reportedly seen by the locals.
