‘Sausage Party’: Animated Sex Comedy That’s Definitely Not For Kids!

What if the food you eat has feelings?

Pixar has done numerous movies showing us the feelings of cars, toys and other stuff in last 20 years. Now, Sony Pictures has released the trailer of the ‘Sausage Party’.

Big names likes Seth Rogen, Kristen Wiig, Jonah Hill, Bill Hader, Michael Cera, James Franco, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson, Paul Rudd, Nick Kroll, David Krumholtz, Edward Norton, and Salma Hayek are voicing the movie characters.

This movie was shown in the SXSW Film Festival way before it was completed.

“To the work-in-progress nature of this, I’ve heard people say: ‘Yeah, it’s a work in progress,’ and they haven’t like color timed it or some shit,” Rogen said when introducing the film to a packed house in Austin on Monday. “This is a fucking work in progress. You will very quickly see this is not semantical trickery – it’s not fucking done.”

The movie trailer will make your heart develop feelings for the food you buy to eat. Rather, you surely will feel like buying them and setting them free.

All that the foods want is go to the ‘great beyond’ (a place they think they will go after the check out corner).

Food items in the movie are show being excited about being chosen by the customers as they think they will be free. All they want is to get out of their packages. Well, the concept of the movie is amazing but it definitely is an adult watch. Rogen has voiced an outspoken hot-dog Frank, who has a love affair with a hot-dog bun Brenda (Kristen Wiig). All that he wants is freedom to slip inside his sexy girlfriend.

Well, do you really want your children to watch this?

Food is just a medium. The harsh realities of the world have been unveiled in the movie. Though Rogen simply stated during an onstage Q&A that ‘Sausage Party’ “honestly came from an innocent place”, we are forced think that the movie is nicely politically incorrect and shows the upside down view of racial and cultural stereotypes.

The lead villain is an actual douche (voiced by Nick Kroll), Salma Hayek features as a lesbian taco with the hots for Brenda and Edward Norton does his best Woody Allen impression to play a Jewish bagel who butts heads with an Arabic flatbread. (source)

And on asking Rogen, how did he managed to make his sex comedy pass the censor board, this is what he said:

“You can show food fuck!”

The movie is hilariously horrendous because of its concept. I wonder what will happen to all the vegetarians after watching this movie.

The movie will hit theaters in August. Big names are flooding Twitter showing their excitement:

Now it’s time to check out the whole trailer (Mind you: this will make you stop eating!)
