The meme world just lost another opportunity because Leonardo DiCaprio has won his first Oscar.
After five acting nominations (and one for producing) and a wait that lasted almost his entire 25-year-career, DiCaprio – the finest actor of our generation – broke the jinx at the 88th Academy Awards 2016.
He won for ‘The Revenant’ – a gritty, bloody and vengeful real-life story of frontiersman Hugh Glass.
But it was not just Leo’s long-pending win, it was also his acceptance speech that made the world stand up for a collective applause for the actor.
In his speech, the 41-year-old Leo highlighted the need to discuss the climate change and support those working to make our planet more liveable.
