A 16-year-old boy was stabbed to death in north Delhi near Kingsway Camp area in an alleged argument over a metro seat, reports NDTV
The incident took place on Wednesday when the victim was leaving the metro station along with his two friends.
They were confronted by five boys, aged between 16 and 17 years, who were angry with the victim after a fight the previous day over a seat on the metro.
The two groups, belonging to different government schools, started shouting at each other following which one of the teenagers allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim multiple times.
“They ran away when the victim collapsed. The victim was taken to hospital where he died at around midnight on Wednesday.”
The police have taken five teenagers into custody and have seized the weapon.
The accused boys were produced before a juvenile board and sent to a reform home, the police added.
