Tarek Fatah Blames Islamists For Suspension Of YouTube Account Following Copyright Strikes

In January this year, Google had suspended Leftist author and political commentator Tarek Fatah’s account for a brief period.



In April, Facebook suspended Fatah’s account. Now, it is YouTube which has done the same.

The writer informed his followers on Twitter with a screenshot of YouTube’s message to him stating the reason behind the suspension.


The “multiple strikes” as stated in that screenshot refers to YouTube’s policy of taking down content if a copyright claim is made. Here is what YouTube, which is part of Google, states:


But Fatah has accused the Islamists, who he has been a very bitter critic of.
