In the recent India Today Mind Rocks 2016, BJP leader Subramanian Swamy and AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi engaged in a heated argument on topics related to patriotism.

Triggering loud cheers from the audience, Swamy called Owaisi an ‘anti-national’.

“I won’t call Asaduddin Owaisi a traitor. But he is surely an anti-national. He is a rashtra-vidrohi,” Swamy said during the debate.

Reacting spontaneously, Owaisi said he won’t accept Swamy’s slogan of religious nationalism.

“I was called anti-national because I refused to say ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’. I will not say it. I will not accept your slogan of religious nationalism. I feel pride in chanting ‘Jai Hind’. If someone like Dr Swamy writes and gives me this certificate that I’m an anti-national, then I would keep it safely with me,” he said.

Owaisi also targeted PM modi and said that his government isn’t serious about Pakistan support to terror groups and they don’t have any plan in place.

“They don’t know any plan or strategy, that’s why till now Modi government couldn’t do anything about it.”

Coming in defence of the Prime Minister, Swamy they had crushed Pakistan and broke it in two parts in 1967 and they will break it in four parts now.

“We crushed Pakistan and broke it in two parts in 1967. Now is the time to break it into four parts and crush it for once and for all,” he said.
