External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj is well known for her proactive approach in helping people in distress and generating confidence in the government.
Recently, she came forward to help a Kazakhstani girl married to a Fatehabad, Haryana, youth. The girl had to leave the country once her visa expires on August 1.
However, seeing a media report, she tweeted in chaste Haryanvi:
Teenu Jangra, a youth from Samain village of Fatehabad, had went to work as a welder in Saudi Arabia and befriended Zhanna on Facebook. After eight months of friendship, Zhanna expressed her wish to get married to Teenu, who in return asked her to come to India.
They married at Vishwakarma temple at Tohana in Fatehabad on May 29, 2015.
However, problem soon emerged when Zhanna’s visa expiry date approached.
They approached different government offices but could not get any help. But a tweet to MEA came as the much needed relief to the distressed couple.
