Double Olympic medalist Sushil Kumar on August 1 welcomed NADA’s decision
to allow fellow wrestler Narsingh Yadav to participate in the upcoming Rio Olympics and exonerate him from doping charges.
Expressing happiness, Sushil sent out a tweet congratulating Narsingh and asking him to ‘win for him and India’.
Kumar and Yadav were locked in a bitter legal battle recently as they both wanted to represent India at the Rio Olympics.
Both Kumar and Yadav represent India in the 74kg category; while it was Narsingh who had won the Olympics quota, Sushil wanted a trial with him so as to get a chance to represent India in Rio.
This was not the first time that Kumar spoke about the ongoing dope scandal, earlier this week he had sent out another tweet expressing disappointment.
Narsingh meanwhile has sent out a vote of thanks to PM Modi, Sports Ministry and the Wrestling Federation for getting the matter solved quickly.
