Students Of Various Colleges From All Over India Are Coming Out In Support Of NIT-Srinagar

You are probably now aware of the NIT-Srinagar row. As they continue forth with their demands on the ninth day, the pro-India students are now increasingly finding support not just from other NITs but also from colleges and institutions all over the country.

At NIT-Silchar students held a march of solidarity with the students of NIT-Srinagar.

They also unfurled the tricolour inside their own campus amid chants of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’.

In Jammu University, too, students took out a protest march against the J&K police action on the students of NIT-Srinagar.

Students at Government Medical College, Jammu, showed their support to the call of nationalism raised at NIT-Srinagar.

It is the police action on the students that has come under severe criticism from all quarters. The J&K government has ordered a probe into the lath charge that left many students with broken bones.

The same sentiments were echoed at the Model Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET), Jammu.

These were the scenes at MIET-J.

More than a thousand kilometres away at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Patna, students waved the tricolour and held placards supporting the pro-India students in Srinagar.

NIT-Patna took out a march through the streets of the Bihar capital on Saturday.

They carried posters calling for action against the J&K police.

Late yesterday, female students at NIT-Srinagar continued their demonstration in pouring rain and biting cold.
