Every year thousands of people participate in marathons, for fitness, raising money and awareness for a charity, and for making new friends.
But this 46-year-old woman, who is only 3 feet 3 inches tall, participate in marathon to prove an important point, which should be an eye-opener for us.
Though she is physically disabled, she doesn’t like to think herself like that. She keeps her life as normal as possible.
“I change two buses every day from Lokhandwala to Matunga to get to work and like everyone else I work hard to make an honest living,” she said.
She participated in the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon 2016 in Mumbai on January 17, which was her fourth marathon. She said, “I complete it every year because I love to run!”

Another thing that she loves about running is that when people cheer and clap, it makes her believe that she is like everyone else and she is not lesser than anyone.
“I may be 46 years old and only 3 feet 3 inches in height but right now, I feel like I’m the happiest person in the world!”
