On July 10, 2009, Shah Rukh Khan was awarded an honorary doctorate in Arts and Culture from the University of Bedfordshire at a ceremony held at a hotel in London. And guess what? He is a doctor again!

Yeah, you read it right! On October 15, the 49-year-old actor received a doctorate degree of Honoris Causa for his philanthropic work  from the University of Edinburgh.

The actor said he was “extremely grateful and extremely humbled” by the recognition, adding that it inspired him to work harder so that he deserved it “at least in retrospect”.

Soon after the award ceremony, Shah Rukh Khan gave a rousing speech that made everyone’s day at the ceremony.

His speech included some very inspiring quotes, a piece of which he shared with his millions of followers on Twitter.

In quintessential SRK style, the actor also gave an amazing performance on his famous dance number “Lungi Dance” and also asked the professors to join him.

Back in India he shared his happiness again by inspiring his fans with these heartwarming words.
