To inspire children and help them achieve more in life, Jharkhand government has decided to add chapters about sports icons from the state in the textbooks.
The textbooks of Jharkhand Council of Education Research and Training (JCERT) will include biographies of India ODI skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, ace archer Deepika Kumari, hockey players Asunta Lakra and late Jaipal Singh Munda.
“Including Dhoni’s biography in school syllabus is a big reward for him and our family,” said Dhoni’s brother-in-law, Gautam Gupta.
