Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina warned officials and citizens on July 13 that there is a strong possibility of more terror strikes in the country.
Hasina addressed her administrative officials, members of the law-enforcement agencies, and many others via video conference.
She said that Bangladesh is gathering intelligence reports from domestic and foreign sources. Hasina asked everyone to take a vow that they won’t allow “any place for terrorists and militants” in Bangladesh or “allow any activities that would malign Islam” or destroy “peace and security” in the country.
She said that everyone “will have to be united against terrorism and militancy” so as to establish peace and security across Bangladesh.
She concluded her speech by urging everyone “irrespective of party and opinion” to work together so as to foil evil designs and strengthen Bangladesh’s campaign against militancy and terrorism.
