While whole nation is preparing for Diwali excitedly, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged citizens to send Diwali greeting to soldiers guarding the nation’s frontiers.

On October 23, PM Modi launched a campaign to boost soldiers’ morale.

People can send messages under the #Sandesh2Soldiers campaign on the Narendra Modi app through MyGov.in site and also through All India Radio.

Doordarshan will also run a programme to share people’s emotions for the armed forces.

PMO said that campaign is expected to generate increased interaction between the people and the armed forces.

“A special module has been launched on the app that will enable people to send greetings to the armed forces. The #Sandesh2Soldiers campaign is expected to generate increased interaction between the people and the armed forces,” the PMO said.
“Earlier this month, the PM had focused on the human element of our jawans. His appeal to people to applaud jawans when they meet them has also created a buzz on social media,” it added.
