Bollywood star Salman Khan, who earlier had said he felt ‘like a raped woman’, hasn’t apologised for the same till yet.
During a press interaction, the actor had said, “When I used to walk out of the ring, after the shoot, I used to feel like a raped woman. I couldn’t walk straight.”
National Commission for Women (NCW), which is studying the reply sent by Khan’s lawyer, said they are taking the whole issue very seriously.
“Salman Khan’s legal counsel has written to us. He (Salman) has not apologised. It’s a four-page, very legal sounding explanation that he has given. We will decide on what action to take based on the legal officer’s advice,” NCW chief Lalitha Kumaramangalam told HT
Further, NCW chief slammed ‘Bollywood activists’ for being silent over the issue.
“Such Bollywood activists have a view on everything but strangely no one has come out in the open to condone what Salman Khan has said,” she said.
Earlier, NCW had asked for a public apology from the actor and gave him seven days for the same.
