RSS Men Brandish Guns And Swords In Jammu Rally While Administration Looks On

In a shocking violation of  law and order in Jammu city, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) workers took out a rally brandishing swords and 12-bore guns cocking a snook at the administration.

Panic gripped among the minority community in the whole area in the old city of Jammu.

Days ahead of traditional Darbar move of the state government to the winter capital of J&K, RSS took out a rally in Jammu, Bhaderwah, Kathua, Samba and RS Pura.

“RSS men assembled in old city and displayed swords and guns. They took out a rally through different areas and brandished weapons,” said one of the eyewitness.

Garr Hindustan mein rehna hai to Vande Matram kehna hoga,” the RSS workers shouted and waved swords while passing though Shalamar, Indra Chowk, Gumat Petrol Pump, Sunder Singh Gurdwara Road, Raghu Nath Bazaar road and City Chowk areas.

This is the first time that RSS workers brandished weapons and swords. The rally is taken out every year, but such a sight was never seen.

The rally adds to the troubles of the state government which is already facing severe communal tensions post the beef ban controversy.

A Kashmiri boy Zahid Ahmad Bhat was attacked by goons and succumbed to injuries in New Delhi’s Safdarjang hospital. His death sparked violent protests in the Valley.

Surprisingly, police officers along with paramilitary forces were seen escorting the RSS workers during the rally.

Shiv Kumar Chouhan, SP(City North Jammu) said they made their efforts at Indra Chowk and pushed them back.

Omar Abdullah, former chief minister gave his reaction on this incident in as series of tweets:
