It has now been 8 years since the city of Mumbai was rocked by the terrorist attacks of 26/11 which went on for three days and claimed lives of 166 people, including 18 members of the Indian forces (Police and Armed forces) who died protecting the nation.

As India remembers the life of these brave soldiers on their 8th death anniversary, cricketer Rohit Sharma, who is also from Mumbai, sent out a heartfelt tweet, saluting the 18 brave martyrs, who lost their lives that night.

Rohit not only remembered the 18 martyrs who saved Mumbai, but also reminded the people that it’s them who are the true heroes for the country.

Rohit is currently out of the Indian cricket team due to a major injury and recently underwent a major surgery on his right thigh in London.

Though he still has a long way to full recovery, Rohit is expected to join the Indian team for the Australian Test series in February 2017.
