Sonia Gandhi Dares Government To Launch Probe Over Charges Against Robert Vadra

Regarding the allegations against her son-in-law Robert Vadra, Congress president Sonia Gandhi said that it is conspiracy for ‘Congress-Mukt Bharat’.

She told reporters:

Further, sharpening her attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, she said he is not a ‘shehenshah(king)’.

She added that at a time when the country is staring at drought, poverty and the farmers are worried, Modi’s huge celebration for completion of his two-year government is uncalled for.

Sources told TOI that probe by I-T departmen at arms dealer’s premises revealed a trail of emails between Vadra and his assistant regarding the purchase of the London house in 2009.

They added there are emails also regarding renovation work carried out on the property before it was sold in June 2010. However, Vadra’s legal firm denied that he owned the London property directly or indirectly.

BJP’s Sudhanshu Trivedi said that allegation on Vadra is not personal but on whole Congress party, that’s why Cong president openly spoke on it.
