13 Ways In Which Real Life Sex Is Different From Porn

Thanks to the internet, a man now can see more naked women in a day than his three previous generations combined. A BBC report claimed that 14% of all the searches made on internet is related to porn and 4% websites are devoted to it.

While sex has solved many curiosities despite the taboo associated with the term in some cultures, it also has filled the generation with unrealistic expectations about sex. And it is not rare to find a study that states that pornography is ruining marriages and relationships.

So here are 13 points which show how porn is different and unrealistic from real life sex.

1. Exaggerations everywhere.

In porn, everything is exaggerated. Right from penis size to wetness. It creates a very different expectation for those who take it very literally. Many don’t realise the fact that porn is heavily edited.

2. Tastes and sounds and smells are absent.

There are other sides of sex that you don’t feel while watching porn. And they are largely due to technological limitations. In real life sex you are a participant rather than a spectator, and that brings in more things in the act of sex. There are smells, sounds, tastes, etc. With our present technology, we are far away from these sensations.

3. Presence of body noises and less moaning.

There is a whole range of body noises that you can hear while having sex which you don’t hear while watching porn. Sometimes, these noises can be quite funny and embarrassing. Also, there are so much less moaning in real life sex that you will be amazed.

4. Humour and talks.

Porn doesn’t include a sense of humour that real life sex has. Sometimes you get so much busy with the talks of groceries and daily errands while having sex that you forget you are doing something important.

5. Foreplay is a thing.

There is no foreplay in porn. But in real life, you should not just jump in. There needs to be some foreplay before the men, and especially the women, are prepared for penetration.

6. Never underestimate lubricants. Never.

Porn purely ignores the necessity of lubes. Mind you, you should have lubes before you venture into real sex and don’t want to get hurt or hurt your partner. Porn doesn’t show the use of lubes, but don’t be mislead. Lubes are very much necessary.

7. Negating the art of seduction.

In porn, a woman seems to be always ready for sex. But many a time, you need to seduce her and porn doesn’t teach you how to seduce her. You just cannot start pounding.

8. So many positions. So less comforts.

Most of the positions shown in porn are very uncomfortable. In real life sex, people don’t even try most of them. Talking about positions, missionary is the most popular and sometimes the only position. People don’t switch positions all the time like in porn.

9. An hour long continuous sex is a myth.

Porn scenes are sometimes very long and can last sometimes even an hour. But in real life, the duration is mostly somewhere between 7 to 15 minutes.

10. Pubic hair? Why is there pubic hair?

Unless you specifically used the term ‘pubic’ in the search area, in porn almost no one is having sex with pubes. Porn doesn’t show pubes as if they doesn’t exist. But they do. And it makes having pubes sometimes a taboo when it should not be treated like this.

11. Penis is not a perpetual machine.

Timeout is very common but is never shown in porn. Even if you are too full of energy, a 5-minute timeout is very normal. While on the other hand, those actors can go on like they have perpetual machines instead of penis.

12. The colour of vaginas.

Vaginas in porn are shown very much of the same tone as the tones of the other parts of the body. But in reality, the colours of the vaginas are mostly darker in shade. Pornography thus makes people worry about their vagina tone unnecessarily.

13. No cameras.

And finally, there are no cameras. You don’t do sex in such positions that can reveal your body parts clearly. You do in positions that are comfortable. Yes, it’s an unnecessary point. Nevermind.

Be an awakened soul.
