After cloudburst and heavy rainfall in Uttarakhand, chief minister Harish Rawat said that situation in under control now and most of the roads have been cleared.
The cloudburst, which occurred on July 1, left as many as 30 people dead in six villages of Chamoli and Pithoragarh districts.
The rescue teams are still recovering the bodies trapped under the debris. The death toll in the past two days climbed to 16 with 21 persons still missing.
Gangotri and Yamunotri national highways have also been disrupted at several places in Uttarakashi district. The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) and the Public Works Department (PWD) personnel have been pressed into service to reopen all the three yatra routes.
