By now Umar Khalid is a name that every ‘Indian’ knows by heart.
While the Delhi Police are busy looking for this absconding ‘highly educated’ fellow from the prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), this anti-social chap might be harbouring his own designs.
He is Ravi Pujari; Profession: Don.
Yes, reports say that Khalid’s father, Syed Qasim Rasool Ilyas, has claimed to have received a death threat call from the don.
Cops said Pujari used a UK number though he was holed up in Australia. Ilyas told reporters, “My family was scared that I am giving interviews… they are worried that after him I will be branded next. But we have to speak.”

One must note here that Ilyas has been a member of the Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI), an organisation banned for terrorist activities. Ilyas said he left SIMI in 1985. So why a don is so interested in proving his nationalism? Pujari has a series of criminal cases against him. Pujari has reportedly threatened singer Arijit Singh. He has also been notorious for threatening and attempting to extort money from the likes of Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Karan Johar in the past. In June 2014, Pujari had said that he had called the office of industrialist Nusli Wadia, asking not to mess with Preity Zinta as he was a very big fan of the actress and no one was standing up for her in the row with former boyfriend Ness Wadia.
He also threatened Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan:
So what is Pujari trying to prove? Is he trying to get in the league of the so-called patriotic Chhota Rajan? We do not know.
