Four people have been detained in connection with the murder of senior journalist Rajdev Ranjan on May 13 evening in Bihar.

The 42-year-old journalist, who worked for Hindustan, was allegedly shot dead by five motorcycle-borne men on his way to home.

According to HT report, even the CCTV footage from the camera installed in the dense traffic area along the Siwan Railway station has gone missing.

“CCTV footage from cameras installed in the dense traffic area along the Siwan Railway station has gone missing, heightening suspicions of a professional hit. The shooting looks very professional. They shot to kill, and ensure that the target stayed dead,” said a high-ranking police officer.

Finance minister Arun Jaitley condemned the killing of two journalists within the span of 24 hours.

Other politicians also jumped in to criticize the state government.
