Late Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam is also known as the Missile Man of India
for his work on the development of ballistic missile and launch vehicle technology. He served our country as President from 2002 until 2007, he was not only a renowned scientist, thinker, philosopher and teacher, but also a winner of numerous prestigious awards and honors.. We all are aware of his down-to-earth nature and the humbleness; his dedication to help students in their education made the UN honor him in 2010 on his 79th birthday and declare 15th October as World’s Student’s Day. We lost such a great personality this year but we have his thoughts and views to follow. These are some of his views that he stated regarding office life:
Loving your job will always keep you passionate about your work, but loving your company and not getting the expected love in return will leave your disappointed and discouraged.
Everybody knows you work day and night to earn money for your loved ones, but they are out there waiting at home for you. Work can be done later, don’t ever give up on the special moments you can share with your family.
Family and friends are the only one who will never leave you during your downfall and failure; your company will surely hand over a leaving notice.
Don’t give up on small thingsthat will bring you more happiness. You may loose memories while trying to win this rat race.
Work efficiently, not madly. If you are leaving late from the office does not mean you are happy. Those faces which will smile after seeing you will surely give you happiness.
You are not a machine who is programmed to only work. Care for your loved ones and have a life in which you live freely. Know your worth and do what gives you satisfaction.
These are the true words of late Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. That should be kept in mind always.
The ones who ask you to dedicate yourself to work, ask them, do they love their life? Tell them that you do love yourself and the people who are attached to your life.
