Badminton player PV Sindhu has once made India proud by winning Super Series Premier title after defeating China’s Sun Yu.
She clinched the title in the finals of the China Open badminton tournament. She beated Sun Yu by 21-11 17-21 21-11. The match was fast-paced and lasted an hour and nine minutes.
Earlier, Sindhu became the first Indian woman to win a silver Olympic medal in Rio Olympics.
Before her, Saina Nehwal was the only Indian woman to win China Open badminton tournament in 2014.
After her victory, congratulatory messages flooded on Twitter. Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi applauded her for her win.
