Congress Workers Inform Prashant Kishor Of ‘Priyanka Gandhi Wave’ In Uttar Pradesh

In Uttar Pradesh, Congress members want Priyanka Gandhi to lead the election campaign across the state to turn the fortunes of the party.

The assembly elections in the state are scheduled for 2017.

As many as 600 out of 622 Congress block chiefs in the state informed party strategist Prashant Kishor about their choice.

Agra District President, Dushyant Sharma, told TOI, “Many block presidents were of the opinion that the party’s vote share could increase considerably, giving it the much-needed fillip to win a large number of seats. Prashant listened to everyone but did not make any comments on this issue.”

It is reported that Kishor has told party high command to bring Priyanka in for the campaign across the state and not just restrict her to Raebareli and Amethi.

Earlier, Kishore had said that he will create Modi like wave for Congress in Uttar Pradesh.
