Priyanka Chopra is a global icon and her achievements announce her greatness and her engaging talent. Her voluptuous lips and intense eyes have ignited our T.V screens with her high octane sensuousness. Her divine belief in love and hard work makes her stand apart from her contemporaries.

Priyanka Chopra has a bent for experimental art. From acting to singing, her natural abilities are appreciated universally. Though she has always expressed her thoughts, emotions and anger with sheer honesty, she has been silent about her personal life.

Her role of unrequited lover in ‘Bajirao Mastani’ somewhere connects with her personal life as well. She labels herself the good girl gone bad and carries the label with confidence.

She gave a brief interview with PinkVilla and revealed her deepest emotions about love and marriage. But as expected, our judgemental audience over-analysed her every word and labelled her a disgraceful feminist.

So, to spread more love and extinguish the enmity, we will differentiate between what she said and what people misunderstood.

Her views on being single:

I have always wanted babies. Lots of them. For that reason I want to get married. It is not fair to bring a child to this world without marriage. Society is mean like that. I want to get married but no one can claim me until someone really claims me.

What our audience interpreted:

She will marry only to have children and to fill that purpose, she needs a guy. The person who will marry her doesn’t hold much importance.

What she actually meant:

She unconditionally loves kids and they are just one of the reasons she wants to get married. She will marry for a genuine reason like love. Her belief in love is supreme and should not be judged.

Her views on cheating:

If my man cheated, I would probably beat the shit out of him first. I am the kind of person who would get violent. Depending on how much I love him, I may forgive or not forgive.

What the audience interpreted:

She will make her partner’s life hell and get him beaten up. She will take some serious violent steps to harm him.

What she actually meant:

She will be super-angry with him and would unabashedly make him realize his mistake so that he doesn’t make such mistakes again. Forgiving him or not is purely her choice and we are nobody to comment on her individuality.

She won the Miss World title at the age of 17. When we were still finding ourselves, she was ruling the world.

So, we really shouldn’t judge her because…
