PM Shares Stage With His Rival Nitish Kumar; Says Use Technology To Improve Court Judgements

Expressing his concern over the large number of cases pending in courts for years, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that there is a need to tackle them in a time-bound manner.

Speaking at an event held at the Patna High Court, he told:

“It will help the courts, judges and lawyers to fix a target to tackle pending cases in time bound manner.”

Further, the PM emphasized on using technology to improve quality of judgement and argument.

“Presently, we have something that we didn’t have earlier — the power of technology. Let’s make the bar, bench and court tech savvy”, Modi said.




“In the last 100 years this high court scaled new heights. I hope the best aspects are carried forward in the years to come,” he told the gathering that included Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

This was the first time when Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared stage with Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar, who his arch political rival.

Supreme Court Chief Justice TS Thakur and union ministers were also present at the event.

During one-day visit to Bihar, he also inaugurated a railway project in Hajipur and lauded Nitish Kumar for his initiatives for development of the state.



Prime Minister added that Centre and state government will work together to bring progress in Bihar.
