This Is Why PM Modi Is Unhappy About Sections Of Media Glorifying Burhan Wani As ‘Hero’

During a high-level meeting with his cabinet, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his ‘unhappiness’ over the media coverage that the Kashmir violence is getting.

According to reports, PM Modi was also unhappy about the fact that media was portraying Hizbul Mujahideen militant Burhan Wani as a hero, and wanted to review the situation arising in Jammu and Kashmir.

It is believed that Modi gave a detailed briefing about Wani, the encounter and the subsequent protests during the meeting and even spoke about the drowning of a policeman in Kashmir.

He expressed concern that Wani was being hailed as a hero despite his involvement in terror activities and anti-India actions, which was giving traction to his followers fueling them into a frenzy.

He concluded the meeting by reviewing the Rs.80,000 crore financial package that NDA government announced for Jammu and Kashmir.

In the meeting the PM was briefed about Pakistan’s response to Wani’s death.
