PM Modi Launches ‘Awas Yojna’ Says Every Indian Will Have A House By The Year 2022

Taking is 2013 election promise to the next step, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 20 launched his flagship housing scheme called the ‘Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojna’ in Agra, Uttar Pradesh.

 

He said that with this new scheme, he aims to provide a house to every Indian by the year 2022.

The houses under this scheme would be designed entirely for the rural masses and provided at an affordable rate to all those living below the poverty line.

 

While addressing the rally after the launch, PM Modi said that his government is dedicated to the poor people and aims all its scheme for them.

“We launched Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojna so that people can open bank account. Today I launched Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojna so that poor people can have a house.”

PM also launched another scheme along with his housing scheme, called the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana which aims to provide gas connection and stove in every household.

 


Though he didn’t name any of this opponents, PM Modi also took the opportunity to attack his opposition for questioning the government’s demonetisation move and said people who are involved in corrupt activities are now having a tough time thanks to discontinuation of old Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 notes.

“Some leaders are raising fingers on me by talking about loss of lives due to demonetisation. I want to remind them many people committed suicide after they lose their money in chit fund scam.”

Discussions
