‘I’m absolutely clear about one thing. For me, it is always nation first. I’m not an intellectual, so I don’t understand all these. But undoubtedly like for all Indians, India is the first for me,” he said in front of jam-packed audience.
Ambani was speaking to veteran journalist Shekhar Gupta in an ‘Off The Cuff‘ series conversation organised by The Print, a digital media outfit owned by senior journalists Shekhar Gupta and Barkha Dutt.
On a lighter note he said that at 9 PM in the evening he followed Arnab Goswami’s News Hour and liked it.
He also lauded Modi government’s ability to embrace projects that may not have been initiated by them – such as the unique identification program Aadhaar. He also appreciated work done by Infosys founder and former CEO, Nandan Nilekani, in building Aadhaar.
He said analysts challenging the business case for Jio would be proven wrong. He pointed out the cases of Apple and Google, and said analysts were wrong about these companies, adding that just watch our quarter by quarter results.
