Modi Devotee Censor Board Chief To Release Propagandist Song On August 15

We are all are excited to celebrate our 69th Independence Day tomorrow, but Censor Board chief Pahlaj Nihalani has another surprise (or shock) for us.

Going overboard with his devotion for Narendra Modi, Nihalani will release a 6-minute song “Mera desh hai mahaan, mera desh hai jawaan” dedicated to the Prime Minister, reports Times of India.

Nihalani, who has earlier termed Modi as ‘Action hero’, said:

“No other PM has ever given such direct benefits to the people through his actions. The common people should understand what Modiji is doing for them.”

Interestingly, the song refers to ‘Mahatma Gandhi and Modi’s dream’ and urges youth to make India a better place. The team that composed BJP’s campaign song “Har, Har Modi; Ghar, Ghar Modi” was roped in to create this song.

The lyrics have been written by Hina Khan and music has been composed by Ishwar Kumar.

And what else, the song will later be recorded with film stars. However, the opposition leader and former I&B minister Manish Tewari said:

“If a gentleman occupying the position of a CBFC chairperson which is not only a statutory but a quasi-judicial body he should refrain from wearing his political loyalties on his sleeve. If at all he considers it imperative to wear it on his sleeve because it perpetuates his longevity in the job, he should step aside since there is a certain amount of objectivity that is required in the job.”
