This world revolves around love! We all grow up to believe in fairytales – boy meets girl, they fall in love, get married and ‘live happily ever after.’ We spend our days looking for that one person, who will sweep us off our feet. True love is rare. If it were to appear in real life, this is how it would look:
Seventy-six-year-old Clemma Elmore has been married to the love of her life, Sterling, for 57 years now. To celebrate their six decades of togetherness, their grand-daughter Amber gifted them a beautiful photo-shoot to pay ode to their undying fairytale romance.
If you’ve been a Notebook fan, you’d know where these adorable pictures are taking us back to.
The photoshoot has all the beautiful elements of ”The Notebook” recreating a magic far more real and enchanting.
The blue bus truck,
the pile of letters,
and their perfect 1940’s outfits. Don’t they look like high school sweethearts on a date?
In fact, much like those letters, they have a real-life notebook as a documentation of their beautiful times together.
The first time Sterling saw her, he knew it. He said to himself, “That’s the girl I’m going to marry.” However, she was actually the one who wound up proposing him. The duo tied the knot in 1959 and their love hasn’t faded an inch in all these years.
Ask them their secret to a marriage like this in an era where we can’t go bear people beyond five dates, and this is what they have to say- ”Till date we never fail to tell each other, probably 10 times a day, ‘I love you.’”
Now all those who blamed mills and boons and mushy movies for our idealist hope for ever-lasting true love, for once can we hope and believe in something they call REAL LOOOVEE? ‘Cause hey, these two are characters right from this real world. Source: Mary Evelyn Photography by Stacy Welch-Christ
