The Maoist, in a letter, have threatened to kill Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and his son N. Lokesh following the recent encounter on the AP-Orissa border.
The letter, which was released by the CPI (Maoist) on October 27, threatened to take revenge of the encounter that took place on October 25 and killed 27 Maoists along with several of its top leaders.
This encounter was undertaken by a joint team of Andhra Pradesh Greyhound and the state police at Malkangiri district of Odisha.
The encounter has left the Maoist angry and they thus have issued a three-page long threat letter that pledges to kill Andhra Pradesh CM Naidu and his son.
The CPI (Maoist) on October 27 sent out a press release to all the media houses with the copy of the letter. At present though letter’s authenticity cannot be verified.
The press release said:
“Naidu escaped the attempt on his life at Alipiri (Chittoor district) in October 2003, but he would not be able to escape this time. If necessary, we will use a suicide bomber to attack you (Naidu). No police or military force can save you this time.”
In October 2003, Naidu had miraculously escaped a Naxal attack at Alipiri near Tirupati. He had received only minor injuries at that time.
The Naxalites, to kill Naidu, had exploded improvised claymore mines at Tirumala ghat road which were targeting Naidu’s motorcade.
