If you are like me who loves starting the mornings watching drool-worthy food by scrolling through the Instagram feed while scouting for the next food adventure then ‘My Yellow Plate‘ is the place to be.

This super-cool, super-yummy-licious Instagram profile features an obvious YELLOW PLATE.

As long as there's Pasta and Chinese food in the world, I'm okay. 😌 What's on my yellow plate? Red sauce pasta from For God's Cake, Hudson Lane. The only bakery cafe in Hudson lane which serves lip smacking desserts and snacks all at one place. And If you are a PASTA person, I highly recommend their red sauce pasta. They also have shakes to cool you off. You can go for the Oreo and Kit-Kat shake. Have you been here? What do you think about this place? Let me know in the comments. #MyYellowPlate #YellowPlate #Pasta #foodadventures #delhi #northdelhi #delhigram #newdelhi #instadelhi #sodelhi #delhifood #ifoundawesome #delhifoodblog #delhifoodies #delhifoodie #delhiuniversity #hudsonlane #northcampus #delhifoodblogger #foodgram #foodtalkindia #Indiagram #foodmaniacIndia #instafood #delhifoodguide #delhiblog #vscodelhi #vscofood #dfordelhi #foodblog

But where did it come from?

Himanshu Sehgal, a die-hard foodie from Delhi, grew up eating food on his favourite yellow plate when he hit upon the idea of this uber-cool, social media venture.

Apparently, Himanshu was planning to launch a digital media agency when he realised how he could merge his passion for food-travel with his idea of social media exploration.

“I had a lot of friends who had wonderful food blogs. Delhi is loaded with food bloggers but I never found anyone who genuinely focused on exploring places no one had been to, or heard about. So I decided to pick up my yellow plate, and roam the streets of delhi exploring food few would have heard of.”

#BestMomosinDelhi #HonyesVeg Ask me where do you get the best Veg Tandoori Momos in north Delhi and this place would my first answer. This is Honey's Veg located in parmanand colony (Mukherjee Nagar). Its a popular food joint in the area known for their delicious Tandoori momos. No color, rich filling, well tandoored and a thin layer of cashew paste with some chaat masala over the top makes them a party in the mouth. You will forget all those overhype places. If you haven't visited this place already, add it to your weekend to do list. #MYPrecommends #myyellowplate #myp #theyellowplate #yellow #foodgram #foodporn #foodie #momos #bestmomoutthere #tandoorimomos #foodindia #indiafood #foodtalkindia #foodmaniacindia #instafood #instafoodie #instadelhi #delhi #northdelhi #delhifood #delhi_foodie #delhifoodie #delhifoodwalks #delhigram #sodelhi #newdelhi #delhifoodblog

Burnt my mouth while eating Chole Bhature…Never thought someone I loved since childhood could hurt me this bad. Love hurts 😔 I had this chole bhature from shop "Paharganj walo ke mashoor chole bhature" in Pankaj Plaza, Nirman Vihar. They nowhere do justice to their name. The Bhaturas were soft, fluffy and not too oily but chole were dry, undercooked and bland. #myyellowplate #yellowplate #myp #eastdelhi #newdelhi #streetfood #streetfooddelhi #indianfood #delhi #sodelhi #delhigram #delhincr #delhifood #delhifoodwalks #delhifoodie #delhifoodblog #delhifoodblogger #delhiblog #vscodelhi #foodtalkindia #foodgram #foodporn #delhi_foodie #instadelhi #delhifoodguide #delhi_igers #foodmaniacindia #delhidairies #foodindia #delhi_igers #foodblog

There is no dearth of exotic restaurants and street food corners in India. But how often do we find ourselves paying at an overhyped restaurant for something which couldn’t even tickle our taste buds in joy?

Best place for south Indian food! What's on my yellow plate? Malleshwaram 18th Cross dosa from Carnatic Cafe, Gk-2. This dosa is named after a street in Bangalore. Dosa was thick, fluffy and crispy on the outside and smeared inside with chutney podi and white butter. It doesn't come with any filling and what I liked most was thickness and crispiness of the dosa. This one is a must try at Carnatic cafe. Have you been here? Let me know in the comments below. #myyellowplate #yellowplate #Carnaticcafe #southIndian #southindianfood #dosa #malleshwaram #Indianfood #Indiafood #foodtalkIndia #foodmaniacindia #foodporn #foodgram #indiafood #delhi #newdelhi #sodelhi #delhigram #delhifoodblog #delhifoodie #delhifood #delhifoodguide #delhifoodblogger #instadelhi #vscodelhi #southdelhi #delhiblog #zomato #delhidiaries #delhi_igers

The thrill of exploring fascinating food joints along with his desire to share his food lust brought Himanshu to Instagram. He created a profile and soon got 1000+ followers.

I like Burger. You Like Burger. We like Burger. I am bad at poems. Let's Eat. What's on MYP? Veg Extreme Burger from TUB (The University Bistro), Hudson lane. A must have at TUB for vegetarians and people who like bigger things in life. A perfect burger filled with two veg patties, Iceberg, Onion, Tomato and cheese and served with cocktail sauce and nachos. #myyellowplate #myp #delhiuniversity #northcampus #newdelhi #northdelhi #spoon_du #delhigram #sodelhi #dfordelhi #instadelhi #delhifood #delhifoodie #delhi_foodie #delhifoodies #delhifoodblogger #delhi_igers #delhidiaries #delhiblogger #foodtalkindia #foodporn #foodgram #zomato #zomatoIN #foodbossindia #India #delhi #instafood #delhifoodblog #foodpictures

This was a boost to his wander-food lust and he went off to look for food gems beyond Delhi. He recently covered a jaw-dropping and foodgasmic trip to North East India. And now he plans to take over the entire country through his ‘MYP India Tour’.

The tour will cover 29 states with the goal of picking out one signature effing-luscious dish from each.

RED FORT; Eating matar kulcha and sneaking through broken fence. What's on my yellow plate? Matar kulcha from a small mobile cart run by Rohit outside the Red Fort. Rohit is 16 years old and has been selling matar kulcha on his cart from last 4 years at Red Fort. He travels all the way from Yamuna Vihar to Red Fort daily to earn a living. Matar kulcha didn't appear very hygienic but was okay in taste and it costs only 20 bucks. Now was the time to take pictures.I took my yellow plate, started walking towards the entry and got to know that Red Fort stays closed on Mondays. Disappointed, I moved towards a police booth next to the entry gate with a thought, to tell them the purpose and see if they would let me in. But all I got was rejection. While I was standing there waiting for these guys to look at me or respond, I heard a voice saying "Sir kyu pareshaan ho rahe ho. Andar Jaana hai? Photo leni hai?." To which I replied, "Haan bhaiya, koi raasta hai?". He: Aa jao sir sath. *I followed him* 100 meters & he showed me a broken fence and said "Yaha se ghus Jao". I said NO as I was afraid of getting caught by the police and guards inside. To which he replied "Sir ghus jao koi dikat nai hogi. Jyada hai in sahab se puch lo* Sahab was a policemen sipping tea outside the fort, just sitting few meters away from the broken fence* I went to the Sahab, explained him the whole situation and came back with a smile. Sahab said "Jaldi se photo leke bahar aa jana. Jyada aage tak mat jaana." I said okay and entered through the broken fence, clicked a picture, came out , had matar kulche and chatted with people around. #myyellowplate #yellowplate #redfort #olddelhi #delhi #delhigram #sodelhi #newdelhi #delhifood #delhifoodblog #delhifoodblogger #delhiblog #delhifoodie #delhifoodguide #delhifoodwalks #delhi_igers #foodtalkIndia #foodgram #foodporn #streetfood #Indianfood #Indiagram #incredibleindia #indiafood #delhidiaries #delhilife #vscodelhi #Indiaclicks #delhitourism #vscoIndia

Just picture these scrumptious delicacies in such breathtaking backgrounds. Imagine!

Maggi at Seven Sisters waterfall,

Maggi at Seven Sisters Falls. High on beauty quotient, Seven Sister Waterfall is a famous waterfall in Meghalaya. Meghalaya is a land blessed with various waterfalls such as Bishop and Beadon falls, Elephant Falls, Spread Eagle Falls and many more, but Seven Sisters Waterfall has a unique charm to it. During good season one can see seven different falls side-by-side cascading the cliff, which gives the waterfall its name. It is a seven segmented waterfall that overlooks Bangladesh. The only thing I could find to eat was MAGGI. When in Meghalaya, don't miss on a maggi date with seven sisters. #myyellowplate #yellowplate #incredibleindia #India #Maggi #maggie #foodtalkIndia #foodgram #foodporn #Indianfood #Indiafood #foodmaniacindia #instaIndia #Indiagram #Indiatravel #TravelIndia #Indiaclicks #indiapictures #foodbossindia #Delhifoodblogger #_soi #streetsofindia #india_gram #indiatravelgram #instagood #instafood #indianstories #Indiaphotos #vscoIndia #northIndia

or Pao-bhaji at Juhu Beach,

or just some simple, comfort food in the lap of rolling hills?

Popped in for tea. Ended up having full meal. What's on my yellow plate? Boiled rice with Papad, Masoor ki Daal and Aloo bean ki subzi from Laxmi Hotel, Jang District. It was simple boiled food yet delicious. This small place is a decade old and run by a family of 4. We started with an omelette, ended on a plate full of local delicacies. Another option was rice with chicken curry and aloo beans ki subzi, which as per fellow foodies tasted even better. #myyellowplate #yellowplate #India #Indianfood #Indiagram #InstaIndia #foodtalkindia #foodmaniacindia #Indiafood #tawang #arunachalpradesh #northIndia #foodbossIndia #foodgram #foodporn #foodblogIndia #foodblog #vscoIndia #vscofood #indiapictures #Indiaclicks #foodgasm #delhifoodblogger #travelIndia #streetfoodindia #instagood #_soi #streetsofIndia #India_gram #incredibleindia #streetfoodindia

‘My Yellow Plate’ got me curious and had me digging through their blog which took me to curated lists of hotspots for all things our tongues crave for but our food diaries lack information of.

While we have watched a number of travel gypsies scouting through lanes of India on television, this video looks like the most real thing I’ve seen so far. Watch its first edition as it digs out Dal Kachori from some corner of Delhi.
