In a veiled attack on the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), Bollywood actress Juhi Chawla said that people, “who have gone out of their senses, should think calmly to deal with problems better.”
Her views follow an ultimatum given by MNS to Pakistani artists to leave India by September 25. Reports suggest that as a result Pakistani actor Fawad Khan has already left the country and has no plans to return anytime soon.
Seemingly annoyed with MNS, she told ANI: “The issues raised are showing we are just trying to fix problems; we are not taking that out from the roots. It may not sound like a sensational answer to you, but it is the only answer. We have to change from within.”
“You can do that and work out for yourself whether that can be the remedy,” she added.

Fawad, who is looking forward to the release of his next movie – Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ in which he has an extended special appearance, will in all probability skip the promotional activities that had initially been planned. The actor is attending to his wife Sadaf who is pregnant with their second child.
The MNS has been venting its ire on Pakistani actors and artists in India and also the producers casting them in their projects, following the Uri terror attack.

The party also warned that it would not allow the release of the upcoming ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ and Shah Rukh Khan-starrer ‘Raees’ as the movies star Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan, respectively.
Reports also suggest that due to the political backlash that Karan Johar is facing after the MNS threat, he has replaced Fawad Khan as the first guest on Koffee With Karan 5, with Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt.

Meanwhile, MNS workers protested outside Karan Johar’s Andheri office, hitting out at the filmmaker for casting Pakistani actor Fawad Khan in his upcoming film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.

The protests forced the police to increase security outside Johar’s office. Several workers were rounded up and taken to the police station.

Johar had spoken against the MNS’ stand
in an interview to a TV channel and had said banning Pakistani artists was not the solution to terrorism and that they should not be prohibited from working in India. “We wish to remind him that Indians see his movies that result in him earning crores of rupees. If he survives on Indians’ money, how can he not respect the feelings of his fellow Indians,” MNS general secretary Shalini Thackeray said in a statement. Sources said this sparked Tuesday’s protests.
