Missing Infosys Employee Was Travelling In Metro At The Time Of Brussels Blasts

Two days after Infosys employee Raghavendran Ganesh went missing following the Brussels terrorist attack, Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj has tweeted that he was “travelling in the metro” when the blasts took place.


Infosys employee, Raghavendran Ganesh is originally from Bangalore and has been working in Brussel’s for past four years.

Search for Ganesh has been on since the March 22 terrorist attacks in Belgium but the Indian Embassy has not been able to locate him till now.

To help them with their search, Ganesh’s brother has landed in Brussels from Germany and has been in constant touch with the Foreign Minister.


On March 22 two blasts near Brussel’s International Airport and one at a Metro station rocked the Belgian capital and killed nearly 30 people.

Nearly 300 people were left injured in the attacks which terrorist group ISIS took responsibility for.

Besides Ganesh who is still missing, two other Indians who work for Jet Airways- Nidhi Chaphekar and Amit Motwani – were left injured in the attack. They at present are recuperating in a local hospital.

Ganesh’s mother, who is in Bengaluru, was the last person to speak to Ganesh; this was an hour before the terror attacks took place.
