Just a few years ago, Pratyusha Banerjee shot to fame when she was chosen to portray the role of ‘Anandi’ in popular TV Show ‘ Balika Vadhu.’
Selected by public voting, Pratyusha become a known face even before she started acting for the show. Over the years, the love and admiration for the character got her many followers. And soon, she became a household name.
It was thus a surprise for many when at the peak of her career, she decide to leave the show for unknown reasons and moved on to do many reality shows like Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5, Bigg Boss 7 and Savdhaan India, where people were able to associate with her more personally.
Then came the shocking news of her death
on April 1, 2016, with many contemplating that she took the drastic step because she was depressed about her relationship with fiancée Rahul Raj Singh. Belonging to a lower middle class family, Pratyusha only studied till class 10th but was always in her school’s drama team.
Pratyusha’s parents loved her a lot.
Even after she moved to Mumbai, her parents used to visit her regularly and used to go on trips with her.
Loved by all, she was was dotted upon by her grand-mothers.
Though she didn’t have any siblings, she was pampered by her ‘Rakhi’ brother Lucky Narula.
Lucky, not only used to shower Pratyusha with gifts, but was like her family away from home.
Lucky, who is producer was not only her brother but also one of her closest friends.
Her parents used to spend as much time as they could with Pratyusha and couldn’t stay away from her for long.
Whenever she could, Partyusha too used to head home, so she could spend the festivals with her family.
In Pratyush’s presence, even her parents were able to let lose and let their inner child out.
