India To Donate Essential Medicines, Including Those For AIDS, To Mozambique

Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is on a five-day tour of Africa promised on July 7 to donate essential medicines to Mozambican public health system.

PM Modi is currently on a four-nation tour of Africa so as to enhance India’s ties with the continent, particularly on the economic sphere.


During the first phase of his tour, PM Modi started his speech by thanking Mozambique’s President Nyusi and said that India will help them in it’s fight against drug trafficking and terrorism.



He then went on to pledge essential medicines from India to Mozambique, including those for AIDS.


PM Modi will next travel to South Africa, followed by a short visit to Tanzania and then finish his African tour in Kenya on July 12.
