In a series of tweets on November 25, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee disclosed that she is not in support of a nationwide ‘bandh’ and never agreed to it.
In Delhi at the meeting of Opposition parties, a Bandh was never discussed or agreed to. We do not support any Bandh called 1/2— Mamata Banerjee (@MamataOfficial) November 25, 2016
She also said that she was meeting the opposition party in Delhi so as to appeal everyone that they need to stand in alliance with the citizens of India and help them in this hour of need.
People are suffering so I appeal to all to help citizens and stand by them at this hour of crisis 2/2— Mamata Banerjee (@MamataOfficial) November 25, 2016
Though Banerjee didn’t give an update as to what was the outcome of that meeting, she in her previous tweet had made it clear that despite their differences on the ‘bandh’, the opposition was united on their views with regard to demonetization.
Modi Ji has lost all credibility. A bad politician & even a worse administrator. He is lying. All Opposition is united, and you are divided— Mamata Banerjee (@MamataOfficial) November 25, 2016
