Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs M. Venkaiah Naidu has alleged that separatist forces and ‘disgruntled’ Left are trying to create unrest in certain universities of the nation and trying to mislead the students.
He also alleged that it is the Congress Party, supported by the Communist Party that is responsible for poverty, illiteracy and social tensions in the country.
Recently, controversy erupted when Congress leader Shashi Tharoor compared JNU students’ union president Kanhaiya Kumar, who is facing sedition charges, in his speech with freedom fighter Bhagat Singh.
In his over 43-minute long speech at JNU campus. Shashi Tharoor had said, “Bhagat Singh was a young man in his 20s with Marxist beliefs who had great passion for motherland. Kanhaiya has same qualities in common.”
