He also said that the BJP-led NDA government is committed to freedom, welfare of the people and development.

He said the opposition is trying to divert the attention of people from development as it is rattled by the growing popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He also alleged that it is the Congress Party, supported by the Communist Party that is responsible for poverty, illiteracy and social tensions in the country.

He also said that it is really bankruptcy on the part of the Congress Party to describe a Communist leader with Bhagat Singh.

Recently, controversy erupted when Congress leader Shashi Tharoor compared JNU students’ union president Kanhaiya Kumar, who is facing sedition charges, in his speech with freedom fighter Bhagat Singh.

In his over 43-minute long speech at JNU campus. Shashi Tharoor had said, “Bhagat Singh was a young man in his 20s with Marxist beliefs who had great passion for motherland. Kanhaiya has same qualities in common.”
