Rio 2016: Badminton Player K. Srikanth Goes Down Fighting, Loses To Lin Dan In Quarter Finals

Indian badminton player Kidambi Srikanth went down fighting against China’s Lin Dan in the Quarterfinals (QF) of Rio Olympics.

Though K Srikanth lost his match, he gave a tough fight to one of the best players in the world to lose 21-6, 11-21, 21-18.


Dan, looked supremely fit during the match won the initial game 21-6 without much effort. But he was left bemused in the second game when he lost 11-21 thanks to Srikanth’s exemplary smashes and drop shots.

With the second game in his pocket, Srikanth continued to rally in the final game, but Dan proved too much for him and he lost the match 21-18 in the final game.


With Srikanth now out of the tournament, PV Sindhu is the only Badminton player left in contention for an Olympic Medal.
