Rescued By Bachpan Bachao Andolan, This Kid Is Now A Professional Yoga Instructor

Recently, Nobel laureate Kailash Satyarthi shared a image of a person called Suman.

“Congrats Suman! You made me proud. A Balashram boy, former domestic help, got national diploma in yoga. Won 2nd prize,” Satyarthi wrote in his Facebook page.


Talking about his story, Suman said he was rescued by Bachpan Bachao Andolan from Saharsa, Bihar, in 2001.

He said his mother had taken a loan from her employer and to pay the debt, she was forced to leave him with the house owner to work as a domestic help.

After being rescued, Suman was brought to Bal Ashram and from there he completed his schooling upto 12th grade. Then he came to Delhi and graduated with a diploma in Yoga and Graphics Design.

Suman is now a yoga instructor. He is not only passionate about fitness but also helps other get better in health.

“I often wonder, had I not been rescued, I don’t know what my life would have been like?” he wrote.
