Kerala Inspector General Found Guilty Of Cheating In An Examination

In May, Thrissur range Inspector General (IG) of Police T.J. Jose IPS was caught cheating in an examination conducted by the Mahatma Gandhi University. Though he said the news was fake, the probe conducted into the matter has revealed that he was indeed guilty, reports The News Minute.

Jose who appeared for the LLM (Master of Laws) examination at St. Paul’s College in Kalamassery was accused of taking small chits of paper to the examination hall. After the invigilator questioned him about the papers torn out from a guide found in his capacity, he refused to surrender the paper.

The sub-committee of MG University Syndicate which probed the matter has said that the IG carried chits and did not hand them over to the invigilator, even when demanded.

The officer could be debarred for three years.

Other than the university, Kerala DGP Balasubramaniam too had ordered a detailed investigation on the issue. The police department, too, may take a separate action against him.
