Most students get nervous before an exam and are told to buck up, but for a 17-year-old girl who was nervous about her end-of-year exams, her boyfriend decided to go the extra mile and take her exams for her.
Ayan Zhademov, a 20-year-old boy from Kazakhstan, tried to take his girlfriend’s exam after he failed to calm her down.
The girl was taking the Unified National Testing exam that school Kazakhstan students must clear to gain admission into a university. Ayan donned a black wig, make-up and her white shirt and grey skirt uniform and went to take the exam.
The examiners thought that the girl who was in front of them looked different from the photo in her identity card.
Unfortunately, when he tried to talk in a high-pitched voice, the examiners immediately realized that this was no girl but a guy. A spokesman said, “We suspected it might be another woman that had taken the candidate’s place, but we never suspected it was a man that had taken her place. At least not until he started speaking.”
Zhademov has been fined £ 1,400, but half of that fine will be filled by a businessman, Olzhas Hudaibergenov, who was happy to see romance still alive.
Most of the girl students questioned about the incident seemed to think it was a silly but romantic idea. Fellow student Dariga Nesterova said, “It was stupid but very romantic. Sometimes love leads us to do silly things, I wish my boyfriend was this romantic.” Another student, Goga Korzhova, said, “She’s lucky to have someone as brave as this, someone who will risk everything for her.”
The girl meanwhile will have to wait a whole year before she can retake the exam. I guess it should be enough time to work on her nerves.
