Days after Infosys employee Swathi S was murdered at a Chennai’s railway station, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa held an emergency meeting.
Recently, Swathi’s father Santhanagopalakrishnan said that his family was afraid to step out of the house.
“Swathi was a very tender-hearted girl and wanted to donate her organs. If we had her organs, we would have given it to people in need. We have much confidence in Chennai police. I think they will find the culprit and produce him before a court of law,” he told NDTV.
The 24-year-old employee was hacked to death
by a man at Nungambakkam railway station on 24 June. The two had a heated argument after which the man attacked her with a sickle, he was carrying in his bag. Yesterday, Madras High Court intervened
and transferred the probe to Chennai police.
