Well-known poet and writer Javed Akhtar has lashed out at All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen party (AIMIM) leader Asaduddin Owaisi in Parliament.
Earlier, former Law minister and Congress leader Salman Khurshid has said that chanting ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ in public is a matter of choice.
Akhtar said that “adjournaments” and “polarisation” will not take the country forward as he pleaded with the Opposition and government to work together without thinking about the next elections.
