Besides Jaisalmer Border outpost, even the town of Phalodi in Rajasthan recorded a blazing maximum temperature of 46.5 degrees Celsius.
Things were no better in the national capital Delhi, where Delhiites faced an the unpleasant temperature of 42 degrees Celsius, which is three degrees above normal.
Besides Phalodi, Rajastan’s Sri Ganganagar saw the temperature rise to 46.3, Churu (46), Bikaner (45.8), and Barmer (45.2), and Jaipur (43.3).
Things are no better in other states, with Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, registering temperature of 45.1 degrees Celsius; Hisar in Punjab and Haryana, registering 44.7 degrees and Amritsar 42.3 degrees which is five degrees above normal.
