Now Smriti Irani Dropped From Cabinet Committee On Parliamentary Affairs

After being removed as HRD minister, now Smriti Irani has been dropped from Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs (CCPA).

She was a special invitee to the committee. In a recent cabinet reshuffle, she was shifted to textiles ministry and Prakash Javadekar was made the new HRD minister.



The committee headed by home minister Rajnath Singh recommends the dates of Parliament sessions.

It has 11 members, including three special invitees.Other members are Union ministers Sushma Swaraj, Arun Jaitley, M Venkaiah Naidu, Ram Vilas Paswan and Ananth Kumar.

 Other than Irani, Ravi Shankar Prasad has replaced his DV Sadananda Gowda in the panel, Rajiv Pratap Rudy has been dropped and PP Chaudhary has been made a special invitee.
